Novice Questions

Hello, Last year my daughter (8) and I got interested in flying. We bought hte Delta Ray One BNF and GPS unit. We were interesting in taking it to an airfield to properly fly it. Are any of the pilot requirements waived due to the size of the Delta Ray One, and the fact it has GPS and flight restrictions enabled on it.

This is Mike and I am the Web Master for the club and one of the instructors. You are welcome to come on up to the field for flying and visit with the instructors. In fact on Sept 12 there will be a picnic with lots of planes and instructors. You can also contact one of instructors, look at the membership tab for the list and numbers.

Hi this is Jim the Club President. None of the requirement for flight instruction and certification are waived based on equipment. As you will see, many of these stabilized/GPS enabled planes are not as easy as you think, and still carry potential liability. For that reason, we require instruction and certification for all of our members. Instruction and training are free to members and we welcome you and your daughter to visit us. Feel free to contact me with questions at 410-592-8553 if needed.
